5 Ways Getting In Shape Will Make You More Successful

Author: admin  |  Category: Dieting, Health  |  Comment: Yok   |

shutterstock 65134117 5 Ways Getting In Shape Will Make You More SuccessfulReality often times is less a product of truth than it is perception. While you may consider it frivolous, maintaining a good appearance is vital for achieving success. This is true from a marketing standpoint as well as with respect to one’s confidence. Here are 5 reasons why the aplomb and attention that comes with good exercise habits can be the driving force behind your success:

1. Exercise Makes You Attractive
Cosmetic changes can significantly alter the way people perceive you, and studies have shown that people who are more physically attractive tend to make more money. This is neither fair nor or even ethical, but an ugly truth that people have resigned to accept. For some, this means spending a lot of money on contemporary fashion and style. However, a far healthier solution is to exercise and sculpt your body.

2. Working Out Improves Posture
The business world involves rituals that are almost animal in nature. Good posture. A firm handshake. These are just some of the things clients and employers look for when gauging your stock as a professional. Doing exercises specifically designed to build your core and your hand strength will create a solid impression that can last a lifetime. In addition to unconscious cues, working out regularly demonstrates a strong worth ethic.

3. Confidence
Exercise boosts your confidence, which in turn makes you more proficient at what you do and more convincing in how you market yourself. This leads to more opportunities and swift vertical movement. Confidence provides you with the sense to know when to take risks and aggressively pursue career goals. In short, it acts as a self-fulfilling prophecy. Those who have faith in their abilities are more likely to attain success simply because they believe the effort is worth making.

Confidence is also a vital part experiential learning. Once you achieve a modicum of success, you can draw upon that experience for future endeavors, repeating the cycle of accomplishment. Top athletes, for instance, often draw upon achievements gained at lower levels to help them in similar situations in the pros. Getting in shape starts you on the path to building your own highlight reel of confidence boosting experiences. In fact, studies show that even a delusional bit a confidence leads to a high rate of success. Doctors, lawyers, and celebrities are so confident that they overrate their abilities, and yet it’s this perception of self that is the engine of their prosperity.

4. Exercise Boosts Your Intelligence
The joke is that people who work out build every muscle except the one that counts. On the contrary, scientific research has shown that aerobic exercise can grow new brain cells. Studies indicate that daily running can increase synaptic plasticity and stimulate neurogenesis. Regular exercise also increases blood flow and regulates hormone levels, which can reduce stress and depression while increasing stamina for working those long nights. All of this results in a fitter body and mind ready to take on the challenge of building your career.

5. Exercise Makes You Happier
Working out increases the serotonin level in your brain, which makes you a happier and more well-rested worker. Having a more amiable and optimistic personality makes clients, employers, and co-workers perceive you in a more favorable light, which in turns gives you an edge when it comes time to discuss promotions.

The Dos and Don’ts of House Cleaning Chemicals

Author: admin  |  Category: home improvement  |  Comment: Yok   |

shutterstock 79324609 The Dos and Donts of House Cleaning ChemicalsThere are thousands of household cleaners available on the market that make claims of providing you with great results. While this may be the case with most of the cleaners out there, to get the best results from the products that you choose will depend on the proper usage of the products. Not only can improperly using the household cleaners that you purchase damage furniture, counter spaces, appliances and other items within the home, they also have the potential of causing great harm to you, your family, pets and other occupants that may be in the home.

DO:

  • Make sure that you read all product labels thoroughly. The product label contains a lot of important facts concerning the cleaning products. Information on what is intended to be cleaned with the household cleaner, what materials may be damaged when using the cleaner on them and even hazardous warnings about the side effects that can occur when not properly handling the chemicals within the cleaner.
  • Wear gear when handling the cleaners. Items such as gloves, aprons and safety glasses are often neglected due to the hassles that individuals claim that they are caused when using this equipment. However, every year millions of cases of chemical burns, allergic reactions and other harmful health ailments are treated in emergency rooms across the country due to the neglectful manner of individuals who use chemicals that they are not familiar with. These are all conditions that can be avoided.
  • Make sure that the cleaners are stored in a safe place. Most household cleaners must be stored in areas that do not get extremely hot or areas of extreme cold temperatures. All household cleaners must be stored in a place that is not easily accessible to children or household pets as the result of them handling these chemicals can be fatal.

DON’T:

  • Mix different chemicals. While many people think that by mixing chemicals when there is just a small amount left in several bottles or if one cleaner is good than two may be better, this can cause harmful results. Many chemicals can react to other chemicals that are used in the manufacturing of the product. This can cause strong reactions such as an explosion or unnoticeable reactions that can be just as dangerous, such as undetectable gas fumes that can be fatal if inhaled.
  • Use the household cleaner on sensitive electronics. Cleaners and electronics do not mix, ever! This can cause static electricity or electrical shortages within the electronic item that can ruin it, cause a fire or cause an explosion.

Preparing Your Toddler for His First Plane Trips

Author: admin  |  Category: Parenting  |  Comment: Yok   |

shutterstock 81387691 Preparing Your Toddler for His First Plane TripsTraveling by airplane is hard enough for adults but when it comes to touting a toddler along there can be some real challenges. Preparing your toddler for their first plane trip takes a little preparation, foresight and instinct to make everything run as smoothly as possible.

Involve Them

Involving your toddler in some thought out preparation will get them excited and ready for the big journey. Show them where you will be travelling on a globe, old school fold-out map or computer. Explain how an airplane works and if you can, find pictures of that as well. Set up their luggage with a special tag that they can write their name on and let them help you pack (don’t worry you can remove the eight pound dinosaur later).

Role Play

Set up a mock airplane seat at home and create a role play scenario to show them what they might expect. Stand on line and explain that in the beginning before you board you must wait to have your bags and ticket checked. Set up a DVD player with headphones. Explain how everyone wears headphones so as not to disturb their neighbors. Many children have a difficult time with headphones so this is an essential practice technique. Also, call ahead to your carrier to see how they handle toddlers and if they have any pre-flight advice.

Personal Items

It is always a good idea to bring along familiar items such as a pillow, small blanket or picture of the dog for them to hold on to for security. In addition, avoid all noise making toys for obvious reasons. Go through your child’s play things explaining that noisy toys may distract the pilot.

Food

This is a tough one. Many food items are confiscated at the security check. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) allows liquids, gels and aerosols only to be packed in a clear, quart size, zip lock bag and all products in a three ounce or less clear container. If you can, it is best to purchase your toddler’s snacks after the security check. There are many choices available and, although it may not be the money you want to spend, it will excite your child while avoiding the headache of having them scream when security tosses their favorite cut up carrots.

Security

Be sure and add the security check procedure into your home role play scenario. Removing shoes is still required in most airports so going over this with your toddler will avoid any breakdowns. Keep all metal objects including jewelry at home and make sure to explain the process thoroughly to quell any fear of walking through a magnometer. Air Pressure

Many children are bothered by the ear popping air pressure of flying. Gum chewed during takeoff and landing is an excellent deterrent. If your toddler does not chew gum try a sippy cup (with straw), taffy, fruit leather or lollipops. Make your toddler’s first plane trip a positive experience. Get prepared and remain patient.
